CEDAR GROVE, NJ – A car was stolen from the driveway of a Cedar Grove Parkway residence on Thursday night, while another car was burglarized on Beech Street the same evening.  

Cedar Grove Police responded at around 10:25 p.m. when a resident reported a 2019 Jeep was stolen from their driveway on Cedar Grove Parkway between the hours of 8:30 and 10:25 pm. The vehicle was recovered on Friday morning in Newark.  

Police also responded to Beech Street when a resident discovered their vehicle had been burglarized overnight in their driveway. The resident’s security camera captured video of three unknown suspects pulling on vehicle door handles in the neighborhood. One subject is seen entering the victim's car and searching through the vehicle. According to police reports, nothing appears to be missing from the vehicle at this time.

Police say they do not know if the incidents are related.  If anyone has any information, please contact Cedar Grove Police 973-239-4100.

“Please lock and remove the keys and valuables from your vehicles. Unrelated to these incidents, if you should observe suspicious activity or a crime, contact police immediately," said Chief Joseph Cirasa.  "Do not investigate or go looking for the actors on your own. This delays notification to the police who may be around the corner.”
