CEDAR GROVE, NJ – South End School playground in Cedar Grove was defaced with anti-semitic and anti-police graffiti, as well as profanity according to Cedar Grove police reports.  The Board of Education reported the incident to police on Wednesday evening.

The incident is being investigated as biased based and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office has been notified. Cedar Grove police said the matter is isolated and involves juveniles, noting there is no threat to any religious group or the community. 

Cedar Grove Police Chief Joseph Cirasa said detectives have made significant progress and the investigation is ongoing.  If anyone has any additional information or feels they should come forward please contact the Cedar Grove Police, 973-239-4100.
