CEDAR GROVE/VERONA, NJ - The Cedar Grove Police Department donated 12 bags of groceries to Verona Fights Hunger Week, which is organized by the Verona Junior Woman’s Club.  After losing a friendly wager with the Verona Police Department over Verona High School’s 38-26 win over Cedar Grove High School in last Friday’s football game, Cedar Grove Police made good on the bet and came through with a donation to help feed hungry families.

This year’s Verona Fights Hunger Week collected 1682 bags of food and over $3,000 in monetary donations for the Human Needs Food Pantry in Montclair.
