VERONA, NJ — Four members of the Verona Police Department were among the 3,000 officers in New Jersey last Friday who participated in the 37th annual New Jersey Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics.

The culmination of the run is the lighting of the Special Olympics New Jersey cauldron at the Opening Ceremony. Verona Police officers Robert Maguire, Brian McMahon, Aaron Seubert and Sergeant Robert Juliano carried the torch locally.

The event is one of several that New Jersey police take part in each year to help the athletes of the Special Olympics.
