VERONA, NJ - A county wide snow emergency has been declared as of 2 p.m. Monday. Roads are bad as this accident on Claremont Avenue in Verona shows.

Verona police ask that all residents remove all vehicles from roadways -- unattended vehicles will be issued a summons and towed.

A few additional reminders from Verona Police Department:
1) Municipal ordinance requires all cars to be removed from the roadway during snow events and prohibits pushing snow into the roadway.
2) Limit non-essential travel to allow first responders to remain available for emergency situations.
3) Power outages are an inconvenience not an emergency. Follow outage maps and report loss of service to PSEG.
