Four Cedar Grove Boys Tennis Players Get All-Division Recognition

CEDAR GROVE, NJ -- Four members of the Cedar Grove boys tennis team received recognition from the Super Essex Conference on its All-Colonial Division team for 2022.

Sairaj Srinivasan of Cedar Grove was named to the first team. The senior played first singles for the Panthers. Srinivasan won 12 matches for Cedar Grove, including three of his last four in the 2022 season.

VERONA, NJ -- Sean Mulligan, a Verona baseball player and a member of the Class of 2022, recently was named to the 2022 Super Essex Conference Liberty Division First Team.

CEDAR GROVE, NJ -- Alfonsi Lombardi, a senior on the Cedar Grove baseball team, was selected to the Super Essex Conference Liberty Division FIrst Team.

Lombardi, a left-handed pitcher, led Cedar Grove in innings pitched (48 1/3) and strikeouts (41). At bat, he batted .344 with three home runs and three doubles. Lombardi also led the Panthers in stolen bases with 17.

Cedar Grove's Taylor Bennett Honored on All-Division Lacrosse Team

CEDAR GROVE, NJ -- Taylor Bennett of Cedar Grove was selected to the Super Essex Conference's All-Liberty Division girls' lacrosse first team for 2022.

Bennett, a junior midfielder/attack, led the Panthers with 61 goals in 2022. She also had seven assists and tied for the team lead in draw controls with 26.

PENNSAUKEN, NJ -- Tara Smurla, a senior at Cedar Grove High School, broke her own school record in the 1,600-meter run last weekend.
