WEST CALDWELL, NJ - The Cedar Grove High School boys soccer team opened its season with a big 8-0 shutout over West Caldwell Tech in West Caldwell on Wednesday.

Dillon Ferber and Joel Botros both finished with two goals and two assists in the win.  Dan Gonzalez also netted two goals for and Aiden DeSena and Krish Jariwala each found the back of the net for the Panthers.

Simone Saletta and Blaize Benson tallied two assists each, while goalie Jayson Rosen had three saves in the win.

The Panthers will host Cristo Rey Newark on Friday at 4 p.m.
