KENILWORTH, NJ - Quarterback Dario Bryant connected with Anthony Bilotta twice in the first quarter to help lead the Cedar Grove Panthers football team to a 31-7 win over David Brearley High School in Kenilworth on Friday.

Bilotta opened the scoring on a 35 yard pass from Bryant.  Bryant found him in the endzone again with a 14 yard pass to give Cedar Grove a 13-0 advantage.  Brearley answered with a touchdown from Antonio Principato, but the Panthers defense took charge after that, shutting them out for the rest of the game.  Patch McCarthy finished with 12 tackles, while Brian Catanzarite and Gerard Dente both had 10.

Dente increased the Panthers lead with a 4 yard run for a touchdown in the second quarter to end the half 19-7.

Cedar Grove continued to dominate in the second half.  Tyler Rummel ran 10 yards for another six points in the third quarter and McCarthy finished the scoring for Cedar Grove with a fourth quarter 20 yard pass from Bryant.  

Cedar Grove will host Newark Central on Friday at 7 p.m.
