ROSELLE, NJ - Rowan Brennan scored five goals Tuesday night to lead the Verona-Glen Ridge ice hockey team to a 9-1 victory over Scotch Plains-Fanwood, its sixth win in a row.

Scotch Plains kept it close in the first period which ended with a 2-1 advantage for VGR.  However it was all Verona-Glen Ridge for the rest of the game with four goals in the second period and three in the third.

Zach Gold tallied three assists and a goal in the win, while Aidan Brennan and Dylan Gleeson delivered two assists each. Jeff Egan, Chandler Otterbein and Will Benson scored a goal a piece and Alec Vecchione and Noah Martinez each had an assist.

Chris Kostas had 22 saves in net for VGR.  

The win improves the team to 11-4 for the season.  They are back in action against Cranford on Wednesday and take on Livingston on Friday.
