MORRISTOWN, NJ - The North 2, Group 2 softball championship was supposed to be decided today, but Mother Nature had other ideas.  After rain postponed the original game on Tuesday, No. 10 Verona took the field against No. 1 Hanover Park at Morristown-Beard on Wednesday and almost played half a game before the storm hit.

Tied at 2-2, weather forced the delay of the game with two outs in the top of the fourth inning.  The NJSIAA has moved all final games to Friday.  Game times will be annouced on Thursday.

Hanover Park led after two innings with an RBI triple from Nicole Miller in the first inning and an RBI single from Aryana Galioto in the second.  Verona got on base in the fourth inning with singles from Sam Costigan and Christina Colon, who both scored on a 2-RBI double by Jackie Loudon.
