WEST ORANGE, NJ - No. 1 seed at 106 lbs., Dominic Tafuri won his second consecutive Essex County title on Friday after defeating No. 3 seed Joseph Sciarrone of Seton Hall Prep, 10-8 (SV).  

Tafuri earned his way into the medal round by pinning Franco Graffeo of Nutley in the quarterfinals and defeating Aidan Carmody of Livingston by technical fall in the semifinals.  He received a bye for the first round.   

Three other wrestlers reached the podium for Cedar Grove with Antonio Cuffari, seeded No. 4 at 138 lbs., taking fourth place, Nick Coletta, seeded No. 4 at 132 lbs. earned fifth place, and William Messinger, seeded No. 4 at 145 lbs, also took fifth place.

In addition, Nicholas Bianco took seventh place at 182 lbs.  and Nicholas Catalano took eighth place at 152 lbs. 

Cedar Grove finished ninth overall with 89 points.
