WARREN, NJ — A $403,000 water project will impact Valley View Road beginning Monday, Dec. 12. New Jersey American Water will begin an improvement project to increase water flows for household consumption and firefighting and improve water service reliability in Warren Township.
Temporary traffic disruptions are to be expected however the company said it will coordinate traffic control with the Warren police in order to maintain mail service, garbage pick up and school bus service.
Work will begin around Dec. 12 and will continue Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. While work is being done customers may experience a slight discoloration of water. If this happens, run the water until it runs clear, the water company said.
The project will include installing approximately 1,700 feet of new 12-inch ductile iron water main along Valley View Road from Mountain Avenue to Wells Lane.
The project will take about two weeks to complete. Work on weekends and evenings is not expected unless it is required to maintain the project schedule.
Final paving and restoration will be completed in the spring/summer of 2017.
