WARREN, NJ - The Warren Township Board of Education accepted the resignation of Warren Middle School Dean of Students, Max Achtau, at Monday’s night’s meeting and approved his replacement

Achtau’s resignation is effective July 27.

Maria Mensinger, currently Supervisor of Special Services for Grades 6-12 in Bernards Township, will take over upon release from her current district. Mensinger and Achtau were not present at the meeting.

Achtau came to the Warren Township School District in 2014, replacing Scott Cook as Dean if Students at Warren Middle School. Achtau previously taught seventh grade science at Community Middle School in West Windsor-Plainsboro. He  holds his undergraduate degree fromRutgers University and had a dual major in science and German.  He also has two masters' degrees in German Literature and Educational Leadership from Tufts University.   He most recently served as a leave replacement principal Central School this spring.
