Building on a shared commitment to support our troops, a number of Warren residents joined together to create Watchung Hills for Warriors, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity (WH4W) to raise gap funding for organizations that provide services to veterans and military personnel wounded in service to the nation.
On September 24, 2016, Watchung Hills for Warriors will host the Third Annual Watchung Hills Cornhole Championship at Rolf's Restaurant and Pub in Warren to raise funds for the Fisher House Foundation, an organization that provides lodging and transportation to military and veterans’ families while their loved ones receive treatment for an injury or illness. Since its inception, the Fisher House Foundation has saved military and veterans' families over $320 million in out-of-pocket costs that would, in many instances, prevent families from remaining together during periods of recovery. The Fisher House Foundation is among Charity Navigator's highest rated veterans' charities, a testament to their commitment to responsibly use donations to further their mission.

In 2015, Watchung Hills for Warriors raised over $8,000 for Homes for Our Troops to help build custom homes for severely injured veterans. Visit www.WH4W.org to learn more about the charity, to register for this year’s two-person team double-elimination tournament and to submit a tax-deductible sponsorship for the event. The championship prize will be $500, with payouts to the eighth place. In addition to the main tournament, the event will include children's tournaments, 8-team mini-tournaments, a "Best of the Worst" team competition, cornhole challenge games and a 50/50 raffle.

Please join Watchung Hills for Warriors on September 24th as they support those who have sacrificed so much for so many.
