WARREN, NJ - In the words of Robert “Bob” J. Beckert, “I’m there man”.  The Bob Beckert Memorial Fund Committee is proud to announce the 12th Annual Bob Beckert Memorial 5k which is being held at Watchung Hills Regional High School 108 Stirling Road in Warren, New Jersey on Sunday, June 7 at 10 a.m. Those interested in signing up or Volunteering for the 5k run/walk can do so on our website: www.Run4RJB.com. Online donations can also be made via the website.

Bob Beckert, WHRHS class of ’76, was tragically killed in a car accident on February 5th, 2004 while traveling home from a business trip.  He was passionate about living a balanced life between family, friends, the community, and work.  This is a community he held close to his heart. The 5k is now coordinated by Bob’s 4 kids who are all alumni of WHRHS, with his youngest graduating this June. All proceeds of the race go to scholarships for deserving Watchung Hills Regional High School graduating seniors along with youth organizations in the community.

"The Bob Beckert Memorial Scholarship Run has been a significant community event and means so much to the many, many friends of Bob, who value this opportunity to gather annually to honor one of the finest people you could ever know.”
