(between Town Hall and the Fire House)

WHEN: Every Tuesday, 3pm-7pm

Strawberry Jam Contest – Celebrate strawberry season with a jar of jam!  Bring your best jam to the Green Brook Farmers Market by 5:00pm on June 20th.  Judging begins at 5:30pm.  Jams will be judged on their flavor and texture.  All types of strawberry jams are permitted (other flavors/ingredients allowed).  Jams must be made from scratch; no canned ingredients or mixes allowed.  Entrants must bring a copy of their recipe to the contest with them.  The winners will receive Fun Money to be spent at the market and will have their recipe featured in the 2017 Green Brook Farmer’s Market Recipe Book at the end of the season!

Blueberry Muffin Contest - Amateur bakers are invited to bring their best blueberry muffins to the Green Brook Farmers Market by 5:00pm on July 18.  Judging begins at 5:30pm.  Muffins will be judged on their flavor, texture, and appearance.  Entrants must bring 1 dozen muffins so there’s enough for the judges to sample.  Muffins must be made from scratch; no canned ingredients or mixes allowed.  Entrants must bring a copy of their recipe to the contest with them.  The winners will receive Fun Money to be spent at the market and will have their recipe featured in the 2017 Green Brook Farmer’s Market Recipe Book at the end of the season!

Peach Pie Contest - Amateur chefs are invited to bring their best Peach Pie to the Green Brook Farmers Market by 5:00pm on August 8th.  Judging begins at 5:30pm.  Pies will be judged on their flavor, texture, and appearance.  Entrants must 1 regular sized pie so there’s enough for the judges to sample.  Pies must be made with all fresh ingredients, no canned ingredients or mixes allowed. All entrants must bring a copy of their recipe with them to the contest.  The winners will receive Fun Money to be spent at the market and will have their recipe featured in the 2017 Green Brook Farmer’s Market Recipe Book at the end of the season!

TomatoFest and Salsa Contest - Amateur chefs are invited to bring their best salsa to the Green Brook Farmers Market by 5:00pm on August 15th.  Judging begins at 5:30pm.  Please bring at least 1 pint of salsa.  Salsas must be made with all fresh ingredients; no canned ingredients allowed.  All types of salsa (not just tomato) are allowed.  All entrants must bring a copy of their recipe with them to the contest.  The winners will receive Fun Money to be spent at the market and will have their recipe featured in the 2017 Green Brook Farmer’s Market Recipe Book at the end of the season.

Gardeners, bring your best homegrown tomato to the festival! Ribbons will be awarded for largest, smallest, funniest and most perfect tomato.

Update: Police Break Up Fight Involving 40-50 People at Bridgewater Commons Mall
