RARITAN, NJ-- The St. Ann’s 110th Italian Festa, a favorite parish, family and neighborhood tradition, will begin Wednesday, June 24. The festival features fun rides and games, Italian food favorites and nightly entertainment to raise funds for the Parish and children who attend St. Ann’s School, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

The festival starts Wednesday and will continue nightly through Saturday, June 27.  Weeknight hours are 6:00-10 p.m.; Friday, 6:00-10:30 p.m.; and Saturday, 5-11 p.m.

The Festa is known for great homemade food, including its famous Pizza Fritta and classic pepper and egg sandwiches. The food is all made fresh daily in the school kitchen. Festa volunteers make sauce from scratch each morning of the Festa to be served at night. The whole onions, tomatoes, garlic and secret Festa spices create a delicious finished product. This year, the new Festa sandwich is the Jersey Burger – a cheeseburger topped with pork roll, and the “Everything Italian Sandwich.”

Plus, the Festa will feature traditional carnival games, wheels of chance, rides and live music from rock and soul band GoodWorks on Saturday night. David Beasley, former lead singer of the hit “It’s Forever” by the 70s soul group The Ebonys, will also perform.

Included among the many vendors are the Power Home Remodeling Group LLC, Lemonaid for Little Stand, Immaculata High School and Mount Saint Mary Academy. Discounted pre-event food ticket packages are also available.

“We love serving our community. The St. Ann Italian Festa is the church's longest standing tradition, and we are proud to have the best food of any carnival in the area. It is a great family event that helps raise funds for the Church and St. Ann School. We appreciate the support from the parish, our sponsors and the neighborhood,” said Donna Bontempo, the church business manager.

St. Ann’s is located at 45 Anderson Street in Raritan Borough. For more information visit www.stannparish.com or call 908-725-1008.
