BRIDGEWATER , NJ - An armed robbery just over the Warren Township border at the Krauszer's Foods and Blimpie Sub Shop at 1918 Washington Valley Road in the Martinsville section of Bridgewater is being investigated by detectives, according to a statement by Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano, Somerset County Prosecutors Office Chief of County Detectives Timothy Fitzgerald and Bridgewater Township Acting Chief of Police Captain Manny Caravela.
Detectives are asking for the public's help, the prosecutor said.
A store employee told detectives that at about 9:10 p.m. Tuesday a man entered the premises, approached the employee, and told him that he was carrying a weapon.
The man then removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. He is described as white, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with a medium build, wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, black footwear, black gloves, and what appeared to be a black scarf covering his face, police said.
