WARREN, NJ - Service on NJ Transit's Morris and Essex line was shut down Monday by two separate incidents caused by high winds.

The Gladstone branch remains suspended due to a downed catenary wire after a tree fell on power lines around 6:30 a.m. near Bernardsville station.

Service on the Morris and Essex line was restored after a tree fell on overhead wires at about 5:10 a.m. Monday near the Morris Plains station, suspending service between Summit and Dover, but transit officials were reporting 60 minute delays in both directions. Service resumed on the Morris and Essex line as of 7:15 a.m.

NJ Transit said rail and transit passes will be honored on its buses, Lakeland buses, and private carriers.
