BERNARDS TWP., NJ - St. James School staff, student body, parish volunteers and supporters gathered at St. James Catholic School in Basking Ridge on Monday, Nov. 27 to welcome the Most Rev. James F. Checchio, Bishop of the Diocese of Metuchen, who had been invited to the school to bless the newly remodeled gymnasium floor and two new science labs installed at the school.

Students and adults both extended a warm welcome to the bishop at the school, located next to St. James Church off South Finley Avenue in Basking Ridge.

Saint James has an active CYM Basketball League that will benefit from the new floor renovations. The updated science labs will facilitate STEM curriculum taught by Kayla McDonald, who instructs 6th grade Earth Science and 8th grade Physical Science.
