WARREN, NJ -The deadline to file for seats on the Board of Educations for Watchung Hills Regional High School District, and the Warren Township School District has now passed. The November school board elections will be held Tuesday, Nov. 4 and the  filing deadline was at 4 p.m. on Monday, July 28.
At the Warren Township School District, three three-year seats become vacant as of Dec. 31. They are currently held by board president Mildred Spiller, Vice President Christina (Tia) Allocco and Len deMontagnac. Allocco and deMontagnac have filed for their three year seats. No other residents have filed.
With Spiller  not seeking re-election, the remaining seat could be filled by a write-in candidate. 
Anyone who is considering becoming a board member by initiating a write-in campaign should to go to the New Jersey School Boards web site to get more details about the responsibilities of serving on a local board of education.

Three seats will become vacant this year at Watchung Hills Regional High School. 
One three-year Watchung seat, one three-year Warren seat and one three-year Long Hill seat currently occupied by Sondra Fetchtner, Robert Horowitz and Lisa DiMizio become vacant this year.
All three incumbents have filed. Fechtner has filed for the open Watchung seat, Lisa Ann DiMizio has filed for the single Long Hill seat and Robert Horowitz has filed for the Warren seat.
Horowitz will have competition in Warren from Glen Mastrobattista, who has also filed to run for the Warren seat.
