WARREN,NJ - Christmas In Warren is becoming an annual tradition for many Warren residents and after a year off, its back for Christmas 2017.
A labor of love, Christmas in Warren is an animated computer controlled light display featuring tens of thousands of LED Christmas lights synchronized to music using over digitally controlled channels.
For the past few years, the Klingert family of Briarwood Drive have been running the show nightly from 5 - 10 p.m., weather permitting. The show was dark last year,”Unfortunately it has been a very busy fall with our daughter's wedding and a grueling work schedule. We were hoping to get the lights up, but now it looks like we will not be running the light show this year. We hope you and your families have a blessed and merry Christmas. We hope to see you next year.”
The show is gaining in popularity and now has a Facebook page that boasts over 2100 likes.
On Tuesday, Dec. 5 they posted, ”We have been finishing repairing and installing the last of the lights. We start final testing tonight and will start running a limited display. The full display should be running by this Saturday night. Thank you for your patience!”
Each light is individually programmed to display a number of effects using Vixen Software. Over one mile of wire connects it all together. The light controllers and many of the lights and other features, are homemade.
80 Briarwood Drive East
The best approach to see the lights is driving to the end of Briarwood Dr. West. Tune to 92.7FM to listen when you see the dancing lights at 80 Briarwood Dr. East.
