WARREN, NJ - In response to representatives of the Friends of the Watchung and Warren libraries who attended the Wednesday night regular meeting of the Somerset County Library Commission to voice their dissatisfaction with recent developments within the library system, Brian K. Auger will be available at the Warren Library on Monday night to answer questions.
Reorganization and consolidation are some of the main issues. All of the individual branches' Facebook pages and Twitter accounts were shut down at the end of 2014. Concern stems from the perception that reorganization will centralize authority in the library system's main administrative office and take financial resources and decisions away from individual branches.
"Dear Friend of the Warren Township Library, I understand that some in the community are concerned about changes within the Library system. I will be available to answer any questions or concerns you might have Monday, March 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the Warren Township Library. If that time is not convenient for you, please feel free to email me or call me at the number below and we can find a mutually convenient time." BRIAN K. AUGER, County Library Administrator.
