PATERSON, NJ- A man reported to be one of the workers at the carnival set to take place there over the next four days has been found dead of a suspected heroin overdose in an RV trailer at Westside Park.
According to a report by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, Paterson police responded to a call of an unresponsive male at approximately 5:34 a.m. on Thursday. Upon their arrival, officers located the deceased male, and his girlfriend who reported that she discovered her boyfriend unresponsive and cold to the touch when she woke up at approximately 5:22 a.m.
While an autopsy is still to be performed by the Medical Examiner’s Office the death is not considered suspicious. Law enforcement authorities have said no suspects are being sought and there is no indication that there is any danger to the public.
