Do you believe in ghosts?  If not, Drew University, located in Madison, NJ just might be able to change your opinion!  Located ideally 15 miles as the crow flies from Times Square New York, the small Liberal Arts, Graduate, and Theological University attracts many, ever since the university’s establishment in 1867.  Drew, nicknamed “The Forest,” was recently prestigiously ranked 5th best university in the state by USA Today, while also taking the coveted ranking as the 4th most haunted university in America, according to multiple sources.

The University’s haunts go as far back as the wife’s founder, Roxanna Mead Drew, who continues to roam the halls of her 1837 estate.  An account of one of her spine tingling sightings is from the 1989 fire of the historic Mead Hall on Drew’s campus.

This spook is only one of the many paranormal accounts at the university, with ghosts of all ages, genders, tricks and traits roaming the campus!  Now it’s your chance to come and experience the spooks with your own eyes and ears on Friday, October 14th.  Drew University, Senior Civic Scholar Michelle Gonnella has planned this spooktacular event with the help from the New Jersey Ghost Hunters Society with all event proceeds benefiting the Patriots’ Path Council, Boy Scouts of America’s Camp Noble Cause for Active Military Members and their families.  The campus walking tours will begin at 7:00pm, 8:00pm and 9:00pm led by a candlelight lantern tour through “The Forest.”  The ticket prices are only $6 presale and $8 at the door, kids eight and under are free!  Although the tours will be spooktacular, they are still appropriate for the kids!  Plus there will be delicious caramel apples, apple cider and more to munch on!  Parking on site.  But please remember, the event is cash only!!  So what are you waiting for?  The ghosts of Drew University are dying to meet you, so please lock in your $6 presale price today and RSVP to mgonnella@drew.edu!
