MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Town of Morristown has opened a warming center in response to the dropping temperatures. The warming center will be open at the Town Hall Senior Center from 8:30am - 4:30pm and the Speedwell Fire House from 4:30pm to 8:30am

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures are expected to fall into the teens this weekend.  The Town of Morristown activates its Warming Centers when temperatures drop below 20 degrees. The Town would like to remind residents that this is a warming center and not a shelter.

Take precautions during these frigid temperatures. If possible, stay indoors and when venturing outside, dress appropriately. Taking preventive action is your best defense against injury caused by extreme cold weather. By preparing your home and car in advance for winter emergencies, and by observing safety precautions during times of extremely cold weather, you can reduce the risk of weather related injury and hazards.
