WARREN, NJ - Watchung Hills Regional High School is dismissing students early today, Tuesday Feb 7 due to a smoke condition.

Superintendent Jewett said, "As we are unable to re-occupy the North Building at this time, we have no choice but to have an early dismissal.  In order to maintain as orderly a dismissal as possible, we will be releasing all students once all buses have arrived which should be at approximately 12:05PM.  Please do not come to pick up your child prior to 12:15PM.

We will send out another update once we make a determination regarding the status of today's after school athletics and other activities."

The fire alarm was triggered due to smoke generated by one of the rooftop HVAC units.  "We evacuated the building and were cleared by the fire department to re-enter the building around 10:40AM.  However, due to smoke in some areas, we are not currently able to occupy the North Building. All students are at lunch and we will make a determination shortly if we are able to resume classes for the remainder of the day," Jewett said in an earlier communication to the Watchung Hills learning community.
