WARREN, NJ - A tree fell on electrical wires on Wells Lane sparking and knocking out power on Warren’s east side. JCP&L estimates restoration of power by 5:30 p.m.
A flash flood watch is in effect through 12 am Wednesday. Thunderstorms producing heavy rain could result in flash flooding across the area.
One to two inches of rain is expected, though locally higher amounts above three inches are possible, according to the NWS.
The NWS says the heaviest rainfall is expected this afternoon and evening, including the afternoon commute.
Excessive rainfall within a short period of time can lead to rapidly rising water and flash flooding, particularly in urban areas and along small creeks and streams, according to the NWS.
