SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning and a flash flood warning in effect until 6:15 p.m. Sunday evening for Somerset County.
The storm is capable of producing quarter-size hail, according to the weather service, and damaging winds of up to 60 miles per hour. Very heavy rain is occurring with this storm, and the National Weather Service is warning drivers not to drive into any area where water covers the roadway.
