WARREN, NJ - Angus, a 20-month-old certified therapy dog from Creature Comfort Pet Therapy in Morris Plains, visited Mount Horeb School on Friday, Feb. 3, eagerly listening to first graders read a passage from a book of their choice as part of a monthly partnership to encourage young readers.

Teacher Denise Kennedy used a PTO grant to pair the youngsters with a therapy dog once a month.

"The dog visits allow our emerging readers an opportunity to read to the dog, where they feel safe and are met with success," Kennedy said.
