WARREN/WATCHUNG, NJ - A public meeting concerning Hillcrest Road will be conducted by the Somerset County Engineering Division on Monday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Borough of Watchung Municipal Building Council Chambers located at 15 Mountain Boulevard.

Somerset County will present the findings of recent studies will hear comments from the interested public.

 

The section of County Route 531, Hillcrest Road, between the I-78 interchange and 600 feet south of High Oaks Drive has a poor ranking for crashes on New Jersey road network screening lists.

The studies performed by the county consisted of an analysis of existing traffic volumes and crash data, site data collection, needs assessment, a traffic signal warrant investigation, preparation of conceptual design plans, and a proposed alternatives analysis.
