WARREN, NJ - According to the Warren Township Police Department, the accident that closed Warrenville Road on Thursday, July 10 was caused when a vehicle driven by Z. Marroquin of Plainfield rear ended a vehicle pulling a trailer containing liquid asphalt driven by D. Mionez-Arriga of Dover.
The liquid asphalt spilled out on Warrenville Road and the road was closed for hours.
The accident occurred at 9:06 a.m. Marroquin was issued a summons for careless driving and unlicensed driver.
The Somerset County Hazardous Materials team, the Warren Township Fire Department and the Warren Township Department of a Public Works all assisted in the clean up.
