WARREN, NJ- The Apprentice Chorus of the Newark Boys Chorus School visited Central School and Woodland School last week as part of the PTO sponsored cultural arts program.
The Apprentice Chorus, under the direction of James Stayton, performed holiday selections and then participated in a sing-a-long of holiday classics with the Warren students.
At Central School, the fourth grade students were especially loud and proud as they have been practicing to lead the school sing-a-long on Friday, Dec.20.
Stayton asked," are you having fun yet?" He was answered with deafening applause.
After the performance, the Apprentice Chorus joined the fifth grade for lunch and recess and spent time in the fifth grade classrooms.
Funding is made possible in part through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development/Community Development Block Grant.
