WARREN, NJ - The Warren Township Board of Education has one vacancy, effective November 5, 2016 following the resignation of Kathy Helewa.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:12-15, notice is hereby given that the Warren Township Board of Education is accepting applications from qualified candidates to fill a vacancy on the Board of Education.

To become a member of a local board of education in New Jersey you must –

  •   Be able to read and write

  •   Hold U.S. citizenship and one year’s residency in the school district

  •   Have no interest in any contract with, or claim against, the board

  •   Not hold office as mayor or member of the municipal governing body

  •   Be registered to vote and not be disqualified as a voter under N.J.S.A.


    Interested parties are requested to submit a resume (including an email address) and cover letter that outlines the reasons for wanting to be on the Board and the qualifications for being selected, to:

Documents may also be hand delivered to the Board Office, address above, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on regular school days.

Requested documents must be received by 4:00 PM on Dec. 5, 2016.

Candidates for the vacancy will be interviewed at the Board of Education meeting to be held at 6:30 P.M. on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016 in the library of the Warren Township Middle School. 100 Old Stirling Road, Warren.
