WARREN, NJ - The Warren Township Planning Board met last night, August 12.  In addition to the memorialization of an approval for drive-up banking addition to the Bank of America building,  the subdivision of a lot owned by the Warren Township Board of Education for use by the Watchung Hills Wrestling Association (WHWA) was on the agenda.
The WHWA is a recreational wrestling program for children between 5 and 14 years of age in Warren, Watchung, Green Brook and Long Hill. After two years of resolving land use issues, the WHWA received unanimous approval to move forward with the construction of a proposed 6,600 square foot wrestling facility.
The board gave site plan approval to split off a piece of property at Stirling Road and Mountain Avenue. WHWA can now concentrate on fundraising. The group's next fundraising event is September 27 at the Basking Ridge Country Club.
