Primrose School of Warren Spring Fling Benefits Safe + Sound Somerset Friday, June 16

Giving back to the community is an integral part of our mission at the Primrose School of Warren. Every year, our school hosts a large fundraising event called Spring Fling to give back to local and national charities. This year Primrose School of Warren is raising money for Safe + Sound Somerset, an organization dedicated to helping families affected by domestic violence and Save the Children; a national community outreach program.  The fundraiser, a Children’s Art Exhibition and Silent Auction of donated goods and services from local businesses, is being held on Friday, June 16 at 6pm-8:30pm, and will be held at The Sherwood Chalet at Forest Lodge, 11 Reinman Rd, Warren.(Hors D’oeuvres and drinks will be served with a Full Bar available)

Featured donations include Tickets to see STOMP in NYC, Tickets to Crayola Factory, Greens Fees for 4 at Beaver Brook County Club, Overnight Stay for 2 and dinner at Bally’s Casino Atlantic City, Tickets to Dorney Waterpark and WildwaterKingdom, as well as all-inclusive vacation packages to Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia and Panama, and tickets to performing arts theatres like George Street Playhouse, Mayo Performing Arts Center, and the Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College. Stampin’ Out Company generously donated a gift basket filled with $200 worth of scrapbooking supplies, Camp Bow Wow donated a gift basket filled with over $150 worth of treats and gift certificates, and many many more!

Safe + Sound Somerset is a non-profit organization that assists women and children who were in domestic violence situations find a safe haven as they rebuild their lives.  They approach this task in various ways– By educating the public about domestic violence, by providing a mobile response team to assist a family in a crisis, by having confidential safe housing for the families to go and by providing counseling for all affected.  It’s truly a wonderful organization and The Primrose School of Warren is honored to be partnering with an organization that has such a profound impact on the people they help!

The other half of the proceeds raised from this amazing event will be donated to Save the Children. Save the Children assists underserved communities in 16 countries across the world by providing emergency preparedness backbacks, physical activity equipment, and library books! For the last 3 years, the Primrose School of Warren has sponsored a child and his community center in South Carolina.
