WARREN, NJ - The rumbling has started and a severe thunderstorm warning and flood watch are in effect in our greater area throughout the evening commute the National Weather Service warns. Seek shelter as the storm approaches. An emergency alert is in effect until 9 p.m.
Trees, and wires are down in parts of Hunterdon County with wind gusts of 60 mph and hail.
Most local pools have closed.
Do not travel through water covered roadways. If you encounter flooding, “Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life,” the service warned. “Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely."
