Thanksgiving 2017: What Will Warren be Thankful For This Thanksgiving Day?

WARREN, NJ - What will you be thankful for this Thanksgiving Day? We asked some local people to give us answers to that question, and to reflect on what they feel gratitude for this Thanksgiving, either on a personal or community level.
 
 
 

I am thankful for the opportunity to host members of both my family by relation and my family by choice for a large celebration this year.-  Dr. Matt Mingle, Superintendent Warren Township Public Schools

First and foremost I’m thankful for my family, my wife Jodi who allows me to do the things I love, my children as I’ve met some awesome families and friends through them and what they do.  I’m thankful for the schools they are in. I’m also thankful for being able to coach at WHRHS, this was a special year for the football program and many more good years ahead.- Rich Seubert, WHRHS Head Football Coach 
 
 

First and foremost, I am blessed with a wonderful family.  They are all productive, happy, healthy, loving and overall good people.  My six grandchildren and one on the way, light up my heart every time I see them.  My wonderful wife, Ginny, of over 40 years gave me the best life that I could imagine.  I thank god every day for the gifts that I have been given and I continue to work within my community to see that as many people as possible find the joy that I have experienced.  - Vic Sordillo, Deputy Mayor Warren Township

 

I am grateful for the love and support of my friends and family, especially that of my wife and daughters. I am thankful to be a part of such a special community of learners and educators at Watchung Hills. I am also so grateful for the opportunity to be able to work each day with such wonderful colleagues, parents, community members, and most of all students and student-athletes. I'm thankful for the love and support of my wife, Karen, and for the opportunity to raise my three sons in the same safe and supportive community that I grew up in. Thank you to my parents and family members for everything they do for me and my family. I recognize how lucky we are to be surrounded by family here in Warren. It has been a pleasure to teach and coach at Watchung Hills for the past 16 years and be part of such a great collection of staff members and work with such exceptional students and athletes.
