What:    Mustang Sally’s Now: Driving Women’s Leadership, a program fueled by Maplecrest Ford Lincoln, a bimonthly series of workshops, features speakers and panel discussions designed to empower generations of Northern NJ women to build confidence and connections.

The November session features a frank and open conversation led by top leaders in Northern New Jersey business, politics and sports to discuss what women need to know about self-confidence as a pathway to success and well-being. Drafting off the success of the bestselling book “The Confidence Code” by journalists Katty Kay and Claire Shipman, the panel discussion will help women construct a blueprint of understanding what women want and need to be confident in their personal and professional lives.

Panelists:    Tara Gilvar – CEO and Founder; Believe Inspire Grow (B.I.G.)

Jill Loyden – Member; US Women’s National Soccer Team and Jersey Sky Blue (retired)

Jen Miller (Moderator) – Head of the Herd; Mustang Sally’s Now: Driving Women’s Leadership

Annette Quijano – Assemblywoman; 20th Legislative District (NJ)

Nicole Stovall – Executive Director & Senior Counsel; Labor and Employment Practices, Merck

Why:     Mustang Sally’s Now: Driving Women’s Leadership envisions a bold change in the traditional way women embrace their car buying and service experiences. Beyond that episodic transaction, we strive to help inspire a local community of women to strengthen and utilize their unique voices by mastering the car buying experience and helping them to leverage that confidence through their personal and professional lives.

While many women do not enjoy negotiating for a car or may not want to change a tire or jump-start her car battery, knowing how to perform these important tasks gives women a true sense of empowerment; and yet, many women shy away from learning these skills. To address these issues, Mustang Sally’s Now workshops provide an opportunity to learn valuable tips and strategies that will lead to a comfort with basic car-care safety and knowledge as well as empower women with life skills.
