Dear TAP and TAP Readers,

Certainly a large number of Warren’s voters came to the TAP of Warren to learn about the candidates for Board of Education this year.  All of the Candidates’ Statements and Letters to the Editor, along with coverage of the PTOs’ Meet the Candidates Event, contained a great deal of information, and thoughtful opinions on which three people would be the best choice to oversee the excellent school system we have in place during what is going to be a highly challenging three-year term of office.  I am 100% positive that virtually every person who cast their votes in the BOE election did so with firm purpose after much investigation.  So I am honored that you have asked me to extend my service to the students and residents of Warren as a member of the BOE.   Thank you.

I will continue to work hard for our schools and our town.   I'm looking forward to working with Paige, Andrea, and all the 2016 WTBOE members.  I am happily continuing to perform good work with our current BOE as this year draws to a close.

Although it comes with no pay, and little prestige — trust me, no one asks Board members for their autograph! — being on the BOE is a terrific job.   Warren Township is a wonderful place in which to serve.  The outpouring of support and the election results have energized me all the more further.  I am up to the task:   I will be the best Board Member I can possibly be for our children, our schools, and our town.  Thank you so very much for renewing my opportunity to be of service.   Together, we will all keep Shining Brighter, Every Day.

Very truly yours,

Kathy Helewa

Vice-President, Warren Township Board of Education
