WARREN, NJ - Two men were arrested and charged with first-degree armed robbery of a Warren Township bank on Saturday, Dec. 6., Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano and Warren Township Chief of Police William Keane said in a statement released Tuesday.
Keith L. Babbs, 43, of Morning Glory Drive in Monroe and Lorance Nelson, 57, of Morris Street in Plainfield have been arrested in connection with the for the Saturday-morning robbery of the Crown Bank located on Washington Valley Road.
At about 10:25 a.m., Warren Township Police responded to the Crown Bank on a report of a bank robbery. 
Responding officers met with a bank employee who said a masked male entered the bank displaying a gun and demanded money. The teller complied and the suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of currency, authorities said. 

Additional responding officers observed a suspicious vehicle, with the engine running, in a parking lot near the bank. While questioning the driver, Nelson, the officers observed Babbs walking out from a wooded area near the bank with proceeds from the bank robbery. 
Officers located additional money from the robbery and a paintball gun in the wooden area. A search of the vehicle revealed a mask was located inside a compartment behind the front passenger seat, authorities said.
Babbs and Nelson each are being held on $100,000 bail at Somerset County Jail.
