WARREN, NJ - Warren Township Chief of Police William Keane announced an update on Thursday regarding an attempted car theft on Tuesday at approximately 5 p.m. in the King’s Shopping Plaza.

 

A description of the suspect’s vehicle as well as a photo show an older model light blue four door Lexus S250. One suspect is described as an African American male possibly  in his early 20’s and approximately 5’5-5’10 with a lean build wearing a light colored tank top and multi colored baseball style cap. The other suspect remained in his vehicle the entire time, police said. 

 

The victim’s car was intentionally rear ended by a car occupied by two men, police said. When the victim exited her car to assess the damage, one suspect got into her car and attempted to drive away, police said. The victim thwarted his attempt and the two suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim did not sustain any injuries, they said.
