WARREN, NJ - The Warren Township Police have issued the following with regard to today's bear sighting at Watchung Hills.

"Ashort time ago, two bears were spotted near the south side of the school. All exterior doors were immediately checked. All students were instructed to stay inside the building and no classes were to be held outside. The security team and our School Resource Officer monitored the bears' movements until they appeared to be a safe distance from the school.

For the remainder of the day, students that may be leaving early have been instructed to see security personnel for an escort to their vehicles.

The Warren Police Department and our security staff will be monitoring the exterior of the building throughout the remainder of the day and at dismissal."
