RARITAN TWP., NJ - A bomb threat is being investigated at Hunterdon Central High School.

At 8 a.m. today, police evacuated the lower campus of the school "for the safety and security of the students," according to a press release from Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, his Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski, and Raritan Township Police Chief Glenn Tabasko.

Later this morning, Det. Sgt. Edmund J. DeFilippis, Jr. of the Prosecutor's Office announced that the entire school has been closed and will remain closed for the rest of the day.

The press release states that "the threat does not appear to be credible at this time."
