BELMAR, NJ — The countdown has begun to the start of the New Jersey Seafood Festival, which will held from Friday, May 19 through Sunday, May 21 at Belmar’s Silver Lake Park.

With tents already in place around the lake, vendors started arriving on Thursday — a busy early-season beach day, due to the sultry temperatures — to begin their preparations.

The three-day event is being billed as “not only a great place to eat, it’s a great place to shop, with lots and lots of great craft vendors to choose from.”

It will be held at Silver Lake Park, Fifth and Ocean Avenues, rain or shine, on the following days and times:

  • Friday,  May 19: 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 20: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Free shuttles will run through Belmar continuously from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, with stops at the Belmar Marina and Belmar train station, delivering visitors to the end of Silver Lake at Fifth Avenue, adjacent to the festival.
