WARREN, NJ – Approval of the job description for a security compliance manager and the go ahead to search for candidates for the new position was approved at the last meeting of the Warren Township Board of Education.

The purpose of the new position is to administer the district’s safety and security program and the district hopes to have the new position “in place this summer.”

During the finance committee report, board member Len DeMontagnac said that, in order to help carry out the district’s Security Action Plan, the administration should begin looking into funding for the position.

“It would be for 80 full days out of the year and the recommendation the committee is putting out to the board is that we do consider this,” said DeMontagnac. “We do also want to look at bringing in some money to keep someone here on a day to day basis and continue keeping our Security Action Plan up to date as well as keep up with our staff’s training so far.”
