WARREN, NJ - The last day of school, and the first day of Summer is full of laughter, and tears.

As students leave their buildings for the last time before Summer vacation, the students show a variety of emotions - relief and happiness that the school year is over and Summer fun can begin, and bittersweet for some because they are leaving for other destinations-other schools, other states, and for 5th graders-middle school.

So as tradition holds in some of the Warren elementary schools, the last of the 5th graders were clapped out Wednesday at Woodland School.

After the traditional fifth grade vs teachers kickball game at Woodland, the rest of the school is dismissed, fifth graders pack up for the last time, say goodbye to their teachers and classmates, and file out.

The rest of the school's students have gathered along the hallways outside their classrooms to "clap out" the 5th graders as they walk each hallway one last time.

And then they are ready for Warren Middle School.

Eighth grade graduation took place on Monday, June 19 and the last day of school at all of the other elementary schools and Warren Middle School was Tuesday, June 20.
