WARREN, NJ - A Halloween Party to benefit Quaid Mobus will be held Oct. 25 at the Washington Valley Firehouse from 6 to 9 p.m. rain or shine with admission of $10 per person. A DJ providing great music for dancing and party games, carnival style games and activities for kids, mini pumpkin decorating, and costume prizes across various categories and age groups will entertain the party goers. And there will be home-baked treats of all kinds.

Organizer Jeanne Neuwirth said," The idea for the party took root months ago when I had a conversation with my dear friend and neighbor Cindy (Quaid's mom) about Quaid's Birthday being on Halloween. I thought a benefit Halloween party would be a great way to honor what a long way Quaid has come over the past year. This is a wonderful young man who has fought hard for his life. Quaid has been through a lot of surgeries, endless physical therapy and a lot of ups and downs, but this young man has an indomitable spirit and a family that wraps him up in love.

"While the idea for the party grew out of the Mobus family holding a special place in my heart, this party has truly become a community effort, and I am so THANKFUL for the more than 50 volunteers decorating, baking, donating items, and working the party, in addition to the members of the Washington Valley Fire Company hosting the event. There will be a costume contest for various categories and age groups toddlers through adults. Several local businesses have stepped up to donate prizes in the form of goods and services: DJ Carlos Cardona, Victoria Limo, Margo Eig, CPT, Monica Giglio of Giglio Interiors, Anderson’s Farm, Bounce Factory, Elements Massage, 16 Handles, Kathie Meller Tupperware Consultant, Juli’s Show, and Starbucks."

Rumor also has it that Olaf, a favorite character from the movie Frozen, may make an appearance at the party between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. for photo opportunities.
