WARREN, NJ - In celebration of the 103rd birthday of Girl Scouts of the USA, and to honor the founder of the organization, Juliette Gordon Low, Warren Girl Scouts led the Pledge of Allegiance and made announcements at each of the four elementary schools and at the Warren Middle School on Thursday, March 12.
For over 100 years, the membership of Girl Scouts of the USA has been unified towards the achievement of the Girl Scout mission: “To build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.”
Warren Girl Scouts are involved in many service projects and awards projects in the community. These various endeavors include: buddy bench installations, outdoor murals to beautify the schools, bird & bat house installations, social activities at assisted living facilities, completing projects for veterans and organizing town-wide camping events.
The national organization Girl Scouts of the USA maintains a membership of more than 3.7 million girl and adult members throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
