WARREN, NJ - More than 20 eighth graders at Warren Middle School attained national recognition for top performances on the 2017 National Spanish Examinations (NSE).
Warren Middle School had a total of seven gold, eight silver, and four bronze medal winners, along with two students who received honorable mention.
“Once again our students have excelled in the NSE,” says Angela Della Ventura who teaches Spanish at the middle school, along with Bernadette Danner, Mary Pat Forenza, Paola Gower and Alexis Slack. “Every entrant earned a medal. Don’t they make us proud though?”

More than 157,000 students across the United States participated in this year’s NSE, an online, standardized assessment tool for Grades 6-12, given voluntarily to students by middle and high school Spanish teachers. The exams are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
